Equipped with economical analog controllers, these versatile water baths maintain bath temperatures from ambient +5° to 100°C with ±0.2°C uniformity and precision. Suitable for a wide variety of general laboratory applications, they are available with 2, 5, 10, 20, and 28 liter stainless steel reservoirs.

In addition to offering excellent performance and reliability, PolyScience Analog Water Baths come equipped with a tilting, see-through polycarbonate cover and -20° to 150°C alcohol thermometer. The steeply gabled cover is particularly ‘lab friendly', accommodating glassware of varying heights and permitting easy loading and removal of samples while allowing condensate to drain neatly back into the bath. An automatic over-temperature safety cuts power to the heater should the bath liquid level drop too low or a control malfunction occur.

Niles, IL – PolyScience is showcasing the DuraChill™ industrial capacity chillers at CLEO 2003 in Baltimore in June. Designed to provide reliable, DuraChill Chillers are suitable for process temperatures from 14° to 104°F (-10° to 40°C) and are capable of providing up to 236,000 BTUs or more of heat removal. Temperature stability is ±2.0°F (±1.11°C).

Portable yet extremely robust, DuraChill Chillers are available in 1½ to 25 HP models and a wide variety of configurations. Standard features include digital microprocessor control with LED temperature readout, digital pressure and flow rate readout, high and low temperature alarms, and remote on/off capability. In addition, each chiller can be equipped with the pump type — centrifugal, positive displacement, or turbine — best suited for the cooling application.

For optimum application and installation flexibility, PolyScience DuraChill Chillers are available with a broad selection of options and accessories. Designed for applications requiring exceptionally precise temperature control, this sophisticated controller maintains fluid temperatures as high as 200°C with ±0.25°C accuracy and ±0.01°C stability. Standard features include one-touch temperature selection, a built-in timer, and user-settable high and low temperature alarms. Ideal for applications requiring the frequent use of specific temperature setpoints, such as fecal coliform testing, this easy-to-use controller features on-touch temperature selection as well as three temperature presets for rapid temperature setpoint changes. Fluid temperature is displayed in either °C or °F on a bright LED readout.

Economical Recirculator
Provides Low-Cost Cooling for Industrial Applications

Niles, IL – An efficient and reliable liquid-to-air recirculator that provides exceptionally economical heat removal for industrial equipment and processes is now available from PolyScience. Intended for applications where the cooling fluid temperature is higher than ambient and control is not required, Model 3370 Recirculator boasts a 12,000 BTU cooling capacity at 25°C (77°F) and can handle liquid temperatures as high as 77°C (177°F). As a result, it offers significant cost-savings over mechanically refrigerated circulators.

Designed for simple operation and maintenance, the Model 3370’s positive displacement pump circulates fluid at up to 7.5 lpm (2 gpm) to the equipment, back into a reservoir, and through a fan-cooled radiator which removes heat. A built-in low-liquid level indicator safeguards the reservoir and circulation system. The pump and cooling system are further protected with reusable filters.

In addition to long life and easy maintenance, the Model 3370 Recirculator is also extremely compact. Measuring just 15 x 15 x 25 inches (38 x 38 x 63.5 cm), it requires only slightly more than 1½ sq.ft. of floor or bench space.

New Immersion Circulator with
Programmable Controller

PolyScience introduces a new immersion circulator designed to provide laboratories with an exceptionally high level of fluid heating flexibility and functionality. Equipped with a sophisticated programmable controller, the Model 7312 Immersion Circulator provides ambient +5° to 200°C temperature control, ±0.01°C temperature stability, and can be programmed with up to ten time/temperature profiles. It's ideal for applications where gradual or multi-step heating is required.

For optimum safety, versatility, and ease-of-use, the Model 7312 features multi-language menus, easy-to-read graphic display, integral over-temperature and low-liquid level safeties, a user-settable high temperature alarm, an RS232 interface, and remote programming, control, and data logging capability. The Model 7312's powerful 5-speed pump can be used for internal as well as open or closed loop external circulation. An optional remote temperature probe can be used to provide more accurate temperature control in external circulation applications.

The Model 7312 Immersion Circulator is mounted on an expandable bridge capable of spanning user-supplied reservoirs from 15 to 25 inches (38.1 to 63.5 cm) wide and occupies an area approximately 71Ž2 by 83Ž4 inches (19 x 22.2 cm) within the bath. It is available for both 120V and 220V operation.
